Hi All, Just wanted to give you our most recent update! OK so I'm sure you have all heard of the unfortunate closure of DW Fitness centres across the UK. This means that DW Newtownabbey classes will no longer be operational, we do offer classes in the valley in Newtownabbey so hopefully you will be able to get booked onto here. Our Classes in DW Shawsbridge are THANKFULLY still in full swing and we will commence our lessons there when regulations are finalised in this centre... - DW Shawsbridge is now named 'Fitness First'. As most of you now know pools will be open to public at the end of this week - 10th of August. From here we can utilise the pools and changing facilities - however the team at aquababes will need to monitor the regulations for our group swims and finalise the booking dates when we can start our classes across all venues again. All other venues are still able to hold our lessons! Which is great news! We ask that you bare with us over the next week. We will endeavour to get our dates for classes and from here will open our bookings. Those of you who missed out on paid lessons before lockdown will of course be given first priority. Stay tuned for more updates as we learn more each day in these ever changing times! Wishing you all a very safe staycation. Hi All, Just an update on recommencement of classes. All of those booked into: Shawsbridge - Belfast, Boucher Rd and Lisburn Leisureplex ( Lee-Anne classes - other venues are still to be confirmed) have been sent an email but for those who are interested in registering our new dates will be published in late December. Due to announcement by NI executive on Friday we have made the decision not to re-open until after the New year as restrictions do not appear to be lifted - w...ith the distribution of the new vaccine - we feel that we can achieve some level of normalcy after Christmas and into the new year and can then commence with our favourite activities and photoshoots! With no disruptions - we feel this is in everyones best interest. We would like to give all you guys a BIG THANKYOU for your patience and continued support and next year we can start afresh!! We have missed you all and want to give your beautiful babies a big hug next time we see them :) LOL Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and looking ridiculously forward to the new year! Hello all, So we have some fabulous news! Aquababes is back in Lisburn Leisureplex as well as Shawsbridge Belfast! We are so delighted that we are back in the game! Due to new social distancing measures we have worked tirelessly to update our booking systems and risk assessments - but just today we were given the go ahead!! So new dates are: Lisburn Leisureplex 30th of September 10-11.30am. Everlast Shawsbridge: 4th of October 12-1pm. ... We expect that all our wonderful parents and babies will be delighted to get back to some healthy, fun and life building skills at long last. IMPORTANT UPDATE Swim schools you will be relieved to hear that following on from the Prime Minister’s announcement today, we have received a positive update this evening that swimming lessons will not be classified as ‘indoor team sports’ at this present time. Therefore, learners can continue to take part in organised swimming lessons (including baby and pre-school and adult swimming) and aquatic fitness classes at indoor venues that adhere to COVID secure guidelines. To ...clarify swimming lessons and aquatic fitness sessions: Continue to fall into the ‘organised sport’ category, so are exempt from the ‘rule of 6’ Are not classified as ‘team’ sports Additionally, the Prime Minister did also confirm today that leisure organisations will now have a legal obligation to follow government guidance and the good news here is that we’ve already done all the hard work for our members by amalgamating all the government guidance relating to swimming pool / lesson management into one easy-to-read living document https://www.sta.co.uk//05/20/swim-school-re-opening-guida/ I think we can all breathe a sigh of relief today, and whilst I appreciate some swim schools are still struggling, this really is welcome news for our part of the sector. UPDATE for all participants in classes in the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council area (Valley Leisure Centre, Antrim Forum, Six Mile Leisure Centre). I am disappointed to advise that our "group, mixed household" classes are classified with hospitality rather than close contact services. This means that our classes won't be able to start back until Monday 30th November at the earliest. We roll with the punches and look forward to getting started week after next. It has been a tough call on us all after the breaking news yesterday. Our hearts go out to those who are once again having to adapt or close their businesses and comply with yet more restrictions.
