Did you know that pumpkins float? We want your children to float, too! Our program begins by teaching children basic survival techniques like floating on their back. Many drownings occur when children are not expected to be swimming - that’s where floating comes in, as it allows children to roll onto their back and rest at the water’s surface. While floating, children can breathe without obstruction or difficulty, yell out for help if they are unable to swim to safety, or rest until they’re able to propel themselves to the edge of the pool! Start learning life saving survival techniques today at BritishSwimSchool.com!

Why NOW is best time ever to start swim lessons: Your child can be water-safe next summer! (Peace of mind...just saying...) Swimming has been shown to boost the immune system in fall and winter, protecting against bugs and viruses (Can you think of something more important right now?) Swimming is the only activity with Built-In Disinfection (The CDC says our water deactivates the virus)

THIS is the reason we are working so hard on resuming our classes safely. Drowning is still the biggest danger any child is facing, even under COVID-19. And it's 100% preventable. We are not taking COVID-19 lightly by any means, but we are also very alarmed by these numbers.

We’re proud to launch our BSS Cares Campaign, developed over the past several months in consultation with key industry experts, recommendations put forth by the CDC and OSHA, and the guidance of state and local leaders in our communities. We are committed to providing everyone with a clean and sterilized environment that enables our critical mission of water safety for students of all ages and abilities while addressing the health and safety concerns presented by COVID-19. ...Here’s a quick overview what we implemented: Instructors wearing shields Increased cleaning and disinfecting protocols (all toys and swimming equipment are cleaned between each class) Decreased class ration (3:1) All deck staff and parents wearing masks One parent/guardian per child in the building, no other family members Hand sanitizer stations Temperature taking of employees and students before entering the facility Health questionnaire for employees before each shift Modified layouts (one-way flow of the pool deck) Staggered lessons to improve flow on the pool deck Social Distancing on Deck Less Students, less parents = less crowding Read more about what we do to keep everyone safe: https://britishswimschool.com//hudson-waterfront/covid-faqs
