Last month, Infant Aquatics lost one of our best. Please read about Rikki Kotzen, a truly incredible young woman filed with passion for helping everyone. Rikki's devotion to preventing drowning combined with her love for children inspired her to found Infant Aquatics Academy, a beautiful swim school in South Africa. Her death at only 31 years has crushed us. Please read Rikki's story and consider making a donation to help keep Rikki's legacy alive and save lives in South Africa.

Floaties are NOT a layer of protection!! Puddle jumpers, water wings and other floaties assist in teaching a child all of the things that help them become mor...e likely to drown. Life Jackets were created for open water like oceans, lakes and rivers. They are important tools in those waters. But they were NEVER meant to use in the pool, where your littles need to learn what their own bodies can and can’t do in the water, so they can develop a healthy respect for it. Water Safety Tips: 1. Use only Coast Guard approved life jackets on your littles and ONLY use them in and around open water. NEVER use them in the pool. 2. Use touch supervision instead, which means never be outside of an arm’s reach of your little, in or around the water. 3. Get your Littles skilled with survival swim lessons, so that if they were to ever get to water without you and get in it, they can save themselves until help comes! Remember, drowning only takes 30 seconds in a young child. Don’t risk it!
